PROJECTS
AIMS5.0
AIMS5.0
AIMS5.0 Project aims to strengthen European digital sovereignty and support sustainable production by using artificial intelligence-enabled hardware and software components and systems. This project aims to increase overall efficiency by adopting and applying AI along the industrial value chain.
The vulnerability of existing supply chains in the crisis points to the need for shorter supply chains and the need to keep production in Europe. In this context, the aim is to give AI-enabled factories more output and higher sustainability, making them more competitive on a global scale. New technologies such as IoT and semantic web ontologies, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence will support the transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0 and help create human-centered work environments. Thus, European industry will be able to realize the transformation to environmentally friendly production methods. In this process, sustainability and flexibility will be among the priority objectives.
Some of the features that Project AIMS5.0 will provide are:
- Electronic hardware components and systems with artificial intelligence for sustainable production.
- Artificial intelligence tools, methods and algorithms for sustainable industrial processes.
- Integrated operating systems-based (SoS) architectures of systems and microservices for AI-powered sustainable manufacturing.
- An open access productive sustainability platform with semantic modeling and data integration.
- Human-driven sustainable production with explainable industrial artificial intelligence based on acceptance, trust and ethics.
TÜBİTAK BİLGEM will take part in the AIMS5.0 Project in two development phases:
- As a centralized management system, an AI-supported AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) Task and Traffic Management System will be developed and demonstrated to ensure safe and energy efficient in-plant logistics. In addition, AMR sensor fusion, obstacle detection and classification, as well as human-like response that provides visual and audible communication between machine and human obstacle will be developed.
- An AI-powered Human Assistance Exoskeleton using brain signals for disabled factory workers will be developed and demonstrated. This exoskeleton will provide support to workers and help them perform their work. In addition, a system will be developed where the material coming to the workstation with AMR will be received and processed by the worker thanks to the upper body exoskeleton.
