HICONNECTS

The HiCONNECTS Project aims to transform centralized cloud platforms into decentralized edge platforms that are sustainable and energy efficient. This project will bring cloud services such as artificial intelligence (AI) closer to end users, enabling them to use CoT and the Internet of Things (IoT) effectively.

Technologies supporting this revolutionary step include the development of high-performance computing, storage infrastructures, network interfaces and media environments. It also includes real-time analysis of IoT sensors and big data. This important step will, for example, enable mobile clients (in the 5G rollout and 6G research phases) to be on the go with minimal cost, short response time, and stable connections between cloud nodes and mobile devices.

TÜBİTAK BİLGEM takes part in two screenings within the scope of the HiCONNECTS Project. TÜBİTAK BİLGEM will develop the traffic and mission management system of autonomous mobile robots (AMR) used in FORD OTOSAN Gölcük Factory with artificial intelligence at the first demonstration. In addition, LiDAR sensors and secure IoT chips to be used in AMRs will be developed by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM in this demonstration.

TÜBİTAK BİLGEM will host the other screening at the Open-Air Lab established in Gebze Campus. In this smart construction site demonstration, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM will develop the ground control station responsible for autonomous driving and task distribution of excavators and UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles) used in the field. In addition, LiDAR sensors and secure IoT chips to be used in excavators and UGVs will also be produced by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM.
